Faewa Duha or called Ama Kanurnia Duha is one of the fishermen who live in Hili Amonio sub-village of Baluta village, he experienced using an inadequate instrument for fishing. He is one of the beneficiaries of Yayasan Menara Agung Pengharapan Internasional program called Tanah Masa Livelihood (TML). He used to go fishing and the catchment usually was sold out to the neighbors and sometimes the catchment only for his family. He has 4 children where 3 of them currently study at formal school as Junior and Senior high school.
As one of fishery member group, Ama Karunia Duha receives a gillnet that helps him to increase the catchment and also get proper trainings and assistance from Yayasan Menara Agung Pengharapan Internasional.
Ama Karunia said, “It’s really helped me to catch more fish, now I have more catchment and more fish to sell”. He sold the catchment not only in his village but expand to Tello as the central fish market in this area, he earns more money and could afford his children education.
He is thanking Yayasan Menara Agung Pengharapan Internasional for the gillnet has been received and for the assistant. Currently, the Community Development Facilitator of Yayasan Menara Agung Pengharapan Internasional continues to walk with the fishermen including Faewa Duha. Conduct visitation and monitor the progress and the impact to the community.
